Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • it was written by the Author(s) indicated in the Work:
  • the material of the Work was not published in any other publications;
  • the material of the Work is not and will not be presented for publication to any other publications;
  • the Work does not contain statements; which do not correspond to reality; or material; which may infringe upon the intellectual property rights of another or legal entity; upon the conditions and requirements of sponsors or providers of financial support;
  • all references used in the Work are indicated and; to the extent the Work incorporates text passages; figures; data or other material from the works of others; the undersigned has obtained any necessary permissions;
  • undertakes to indemnify and hold harmless Kaunas University of Technology from any damage or expense that arise in the even of a breach of any of the guarantees set forth above;
  • do(es) not object to the spread of the Work by all means of distribution.

Author Guidelines

General requirements for the preparation of the article

  • Manuscripts on general and special questions must correspond to the main fields of the journal "Ultragarsas" (Ultrasound) and the structure of the article should correspond to the general requirement of the scientific papers. It should clearly present the research problem; the aim; research methods; results and conclusions and references;
  • The article should be prepared by Microsoft Windows operational system Microsoft Word text editor;
  • The manuscripts are printed in English with Lithuanian abstracts;
  • The length of the manuscripts is not strictly limited; bur the suggested length is 4-7 pages;
  • All presented manuscripts wil be refered not under by two anonymous reviewers;
  • The article should be organized in the following manner:

-          title of the article;
-          names of the authors;
-          name of the institution; its address and e-mail;
-          abstract (a recommended length for the abstracts is 10 - 15 lines);
-          key words (5 - 7);
-          the main article text (it is recommended to subdivide the main text into smaller sections);
-          conclusions;
-          acknowledgements;
-          references;
-          abstract in Lithuanian;
-          data of submissio (year; month).

  • The manuscript shoul be supplemented with the information about the authors (in English): name; surname; position; organization; main research areas; address; telephone and fax numbers; e-mail address.
  • Author's guarantee form concerning work presented for publication.

Style of the text

The main text is prepared in two columns (84 mm) in single spacing. All paragraphs begin with a 6 mm indentation. Illustrations and tables may be arranged in one or two columns of the journal. Tables should be numbered consecutively in Arabic numerals and given a suitable caption. All table columns should have an explanatary heading and where appropriate; units of measurement. Tables should not duplicate results presented elsewhere in the manuscript; e.g. in graphs.

Equations should be numbered consecutively with Arabic numerals in parentheses on the right hand side of the columns. The formulas should be prepared using "Microsoft Equation".
