Focus and Scope

The Journal is devoted to the problems of acoustics, ultrasonics and non-destructive testing. Papers from Lithuanian institutions and as well from foregn countries: Sweden, Norway, Great Britain, Japan, China, Russia, Ukraine, Israel, Algeria are published in our Journal. Peer Review Process

Every single contribution submitted to the journal "Ultragarsas" (Ultrasound) will be reviewed by two independent referees nominated by the Editorial Board. The reviewers are provided with the review forms and recommendations. The reviewers should choose one of the options for the reviewed paper (recommended for publication without any changes; recommended for publication after major/minor corrections; the article is not recommended for publication).

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. The source of the information is the journal "Ultragarsas" (Ultrasound).

Journal History

The first issue of the Journal „ULTRAGARSAS" (ULTRASOUND) was published in the year 1969. Since this period more than 1000 papers were published. The number of issues per year was increasing: if from the year 1996 to 1996 still only one issue was published, so from the year 2000 annually four issues are published in English language with abstracts in English and Lithuanian.
