Use of auto vibration for energy transformation

Abstract

There are many sources of disturbance in surrounding nature and in various fields of human activity and they could be used for converting mechanical vibration energy to electrical energy.
This paper surveys the possibility to convert auto vibration of elastically set plate caused by the air flow to electrical energy. There also small synchronizing outer disturbance was used in order to attract plate’s vibration’s frequency to needed one.
Motion of the plate was described by generalized differential equation of Duffing and Van der Pol and MATLAB software using Newmark method were used to find its solutions. Zones of existence of auto vibration of the plate were designated and also zones of auto vibration with dominant first harmonic were designated in resonance range.
