Abstract

The object of investigation it was the noises generated by the leakage located in the boundary between two closed spaces and propagating in the walls of the piping. It was determined experimentally that the spectrum of acoustic noises generated by the leakage existing in the boundary of two closed spaces is located in the 20…50 kHz frequency region and is slightly dependent on the pressure drop and leakage dimensions. It was revealed that the unhermeticies existing in the boundary of two closed spaces can be discovered according to the intensity of the noises propagating in the walls of the reservoirs on both sides of the boundary of their separation.
