Modelling of ultrasound velocity measurement errors in a chamber with a buffer waveguide

Abstract

The measurement error caused by diffraction in the chamber with waveguide are analysed. The combined analytical - numerical method, enabling to calculate the structure of the transmitted and reflected ultrasonic field was used. The approach allows investigation of the ultrasonic fields both in the near and far field zones. The computer modeling had show that the level of these errors for the case of ultrasound velocities measurement in the blood do not exceeds 1%.
