Abstract

Peculiarities of reflection, transmission and transformation into SAW of other type onto external corner for longitudinal surface waves (LSAW) and transversal surface (Rayleigh) acoustic waves (TSAW) were investigated experimentally. Reflection and permeation of SAW studied in angles range from 80° till 100°. Longitudinal surface and transversal surface waves were excited and detected using prismatic transducers tuned on the 1st and on the 2nd critical angles. It was established that transformation of surface transversal waves into surface longitudinal waves on the edge of solid body may be used for generation of surface longitudinal waves.
