Abstract

It is shown that, when using an invasive acoustic measuring method for calculation of gas flow velocity and sound speed in it, one of sources of error is the time of propagation of acoustic signals in the ports of transducer holders. This time depends on a lot of factors and may change during a measuring process. So, the exact value and influence of this time interval on measurement results is difficult to determine. The new algorithms for calculation of gas flows velocity and sound speed in the gas flow are proposed. When using of these algorithms the evaluation of duration of propagation of acoustical signals in the ports of transducer holders is not necessary to know in advance. The gas flow velocity and sound velocity in it are calculated on the basis of measured geometrical parameters of the measuring channel and on the time of propagation of acoustical signals in the gas flow between the transducers.
